By letting go, we mean letting go of a preconceived notion of how something should be. Let me give you a couple of examples. ‘I should be rich by the age of 35, I should be in a relationship, I should have kids, I should let them win,’ you may say.
You put so much pressure on yourself to keep things wrapped around this should that it can physically and mentally exhaust you.
When you decide to let go of the shoulds and accept things as they are, you will feel lighter and freer.
When something requires a lot of energy, it’s a sign that it’s not right for you.
When you devote all of your energy to keeping something under your control, you are sending a message to the universe that says, “This is not mine, I can’t keep it, please take it away from me.”
We have a tendency to linger in past situations in order to protect ourselves and avoid future failures or disappointments.
Sometimes all we need to do is acknowledge that what we had or desired is no longer valid. Consider it like releasing a balloon into the sky.
Allow it to pass and go with the flow. The flow will lead you to the best location for you.
